Measurement Computing's CIO-PDIS016 is a 16-channel, isolated input, 16-channel, relay-output interface board for ISA-bus personal computers. The CIO-PDIS016 is designed for control and sensing applications where high voltages need to be sensed or controlled.
The CIO-PDISO16 is simply two PDISO8 boards electronics contained on a single board. There are two connectors and two sets of registers, each identical to the single set found on the PDISO8. The connector pin assignments are similar but the connector type is different. The CIO-PDISO8 uses a 37-pin D connector while the CIO-PDISO16 uses two 50-pin header connectors.
The outputs consist of eight relays per connector; 16 total for the board. The inputs are two sets of eight, individual, optically isolated (500 V) inputs. Each set can be read back as a single byte.
